The lord is gracious and compassionate,
Slow to anger and rich in love,
His anger last for a moment,
But His mercy is everlasting.
The lord is gracious and compassionate,
The lord is good to all and
His tender mercies are over all His works,
It is His grace and mercy saved us.
The lord is gracious and compassionate,
For as the heaven is high above the earth,
So great is His mercy towards them that
fears Him,
For thou oh lord art good, ready to
forgive.
The lord is gracious and compassionate,
His steadfast love never ceases,
His mercies never come to an end,
They are new every morning.
The lord is gracious and compassionate,
He says “My mercy will I keep for him for
evermore,
For a moment I have forsaken thee,
But with great mercies will I gather
thee."
The lord is gracious and compassionate,
Let us then approach God's throne
Of grace with confidence, so that we can
receive mercy,
And find grace to help us in our time of
need.
Blessed be to God, the father
Of our lord Jesus Christ,
Father of mercies and God of all comfort,
Plenteous in mercy to them that calls upon
Him.
