THE SECRET THINGS BELONG TO GOD

TEXT: DEUTERONOMY 29:29

“The secret things belong to the lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of the law”.

A secret is something known to one or very few people, God has many things that He kept from man. Every good and perfect thing comes from God. Nobody can come up with any idea, plan and invention without inspiration from God; it is God that gives inspiration for people to do things that would bring them out to limelight.

God has a lot of good idea, and revelation that he wants to reveal to His children to make them great. We need to always be in His presence for Him to reveal His great secret to us, so that we can be transported to a greater height. Many people are making the mistake of not giving the glory back to God, after getting a new idea or revelation. They see no reason why they should attribute it to God because they think it is their own wisdom that made them to think of that very thing. Our text says “the things revealed to us belong to us and our children…. This means that any idea or revelation you have is from God and is given to you so that you can make use of it gloriously for you and your children to benefit of it. Be wise to know that the idea and revelation you have now is being revealed to you by God, don’t be too arrogant to acknowledge Him so that He can reveal more ideas to you.

Amos 3:7 says the lord does not do anything without revealing it to His prophets. God tells His children what will happen in future, the gift to see vision is from God who owns all secret things. He delights in showing to us some of His secrets either through vision or dream.

Never see yourself as a “super being” if this gift is functioning in your life, ascribe the glory to Him. In Daniel 2 King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream; he called all the astrologer, magicians, sorcerers, and enchanters to interpret his dream. They were unable to interpret it because God did not reveal it to them. (This confirms that the secret things belong to God). Daniel was able to interpret the King’s dream because the lord revealed it to him. Daniel and his friends sought the face of God, and during the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision (Daniel 2:17-19). Anytime God reveals an idea to you, or use you as a channel to convey a vision to someone, always have the heart of gratitude to God. After God has revealed the dream to Daniel, he praise the lord of

Heaven (Daniel 2:19-23) don’t get carried away with the gift, always appreciate the giver of the gift.

MY PEACE HAVE I GIVEN YOU

My peace have I given you,

Not as the world gives,

Let not your heart be troubled,

And do not be afraid, I have told you

These things, so that in me you may

Have peace. In this world you will

Have trouble, but be of good cheer!

I have overcome the world.

My peace have I given you,

Be anxious for nothing at all,

Because your expectation will be met,

I will supply all your needs according

To my riches in glory in Christ Jesus,

Peace I will give to you on every side,

For I am the father of compassion and

God of all comfort, who comforts you

In all your troubles and distress,

My peace have I given you,

Stand firm in the faith, be men

Of courage be strong, let nothing

Move you, hold fast and unswerving

To the faith you have in me, for I will

Keep in perfect peace him whose mind

Is steadfast because he trust in me,                         

Whoever listens to me will live in safety

And be at ease, without fear of harm.

My peace have I given you,

Let your heart not be troubled,

In that troubled boat I am there 
with you, I will speak to the storm

“Peace be still.” Though the mountains

Be shaken and the hills be removed,

Yet my unfailing love for you will

Not be shaken, nor my covenant of

Peace be removed, says the lord.

I WILL GUIDE YOUR STEPS

I will be your guide and you will lack nothing. (Psalm 23:1)

I will order your steps and guide you continually. (Psalm 37:23, Isaiah 58:11)

I will show you the path of life. (Psalm 16:11)

You will hear a word behind you saying “This is the way,

Walk in it” (Isaiah 30:21)

I will guide you in my truth and faithfulness. (Psalm 25:5)

I the Lord will instruct you and teach you the way you should go

I will counsel you with my eyes upon you. (Psalm 32:8)

I will guide you continually and satisfy you in drought and

In dry places and make strong your bones and you shall be

Like a watered garden and like a spring of water whose

Waters fail not. (Isaiah 58: 11)

I will guide you through my word, when you meditate

Upon it day and night and observe all that is there,

 I will make your ways prosperous and you will have

Good success. (Joshua 1:8)

You plan your way but I direct your step for it is not

For a man to direct his steps. ( Proverbs 16:19, Jeremiah 10:23)

I will establish you as my holy people, I will not allow your

Foot to be moved. (Psalm 121:3, Deuteronomy 28: 9)

I am your God forever and ever; I will be your guide even

Unto death (Psalm 48:14). Hear me saying to you today,
 "Do not fear for I am with you. (Isaiah 41: 10)
Behold I will be with you to the very end of age. (Matthew 28:20)

GOD-: OUR SPIRITUAL NAVIGATOR

TEXT: ISAIAH 30:21

A navigator is a device that directs the course of an aircraft or missile, the navigator’s primary responsibility is to be aware of ship of aircraft position at all times. The responsibilities include planning the journey, advising the captain or the aircraft commander of estimated timing to their destination, and to make sure dangers are avoided.

As children of God going through the journey of life, for us to get to our destination successfully, we need direction not from navigator or satellite navigator but from God. Going through the journey of life takes more than strength and wisdom; you need to engage the presence of God to go through the journey with you.

If you think you can do it without God, you will be lost, lonely and frustrated, but when you engage Him in your journey, He would lead and guide you throughout the journey.

In the course of your journey; you may be weak and weary, He will carry you in His arm and give you strength to continue to your destination. “Your ears shall hear a word behind you saying, “this is the way, walk in it” whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.” (Isaiah 30:21) God as the spiritual navigator is the one that will choose your destination for you, He will plan the route to your journey, and He will be the one to give you the direction to your destination.

Unlike the satellite navigator that you need to indicate where you want to go for it to take you there, it is God that will indicate where he wants you to go to. Satellite navigators can make mistake while directing you, but God will never lead you astray, His leading is always perfect. He will lead you to abundance, safety, and make you to be the envy of everybody around you (Psalm 23:1-5). Ask for His direction today and all will be well with you.

OH THAT MEN WOULD PRAISE THE LORD

Oh that men would praise the lord, for His goodness

 And for His wonderful works, He created the heaven,

 The earth, the sea, the dry Land, He causes His sun to

 Rise on evil and the good, and sends His rain both on

 Righteous and the unrighteous, He shows no partiality

 To princes and does not favour the rich Over the poor,

For He is a just God that loves all His children

 Equally, Praise be to the name of our God forever.

Oh that men would praise the lord, for he is our

Present help in times of trouble, He promised never

To leave nor forsake us, even in our unfaithfulness,

He remains faithful, While we were still sinners He

 Gave His only begotten son to die for us on the cross

 Of Calvary, He that spared not His own son, but delivered

 Him Up for us all, is this not evidence that He will not

Withhold any good things from us? Let everything

That has breath praise Him for His loving kindness.

Oh that men should praise the lord, for He is the

Great and mighty God, the mighty man in battle,

By His mighty hands He drowned Pharaoh and

His chariots, He is always at alert to fight the battle

Of His children, He says “I will contend with those

That are contending against you.” For our battle is His,

Hear His comforting word “Be still and know that I am God.”

Let the entire earth offer unto our God the sacrifice of praise!

ADONAI BY BOLATITO C. PETER

MY REWARD IS WITH ME

Behold I am coming soon!

My reward is with me, and

I will give to everyone according

To what he has done, whatever you plant

You shall reap says the lord of host,

The bride groom will come like a thief in the night,

To judge everyone accordingly,

He who has an ear let him hear what

The spirit says to the churches.

To him who overcome and does my

 Will to the end, I will give some of the

Hidden manna, I will also give him a white stone,

With a new name on it, known to him alone,

I am He who searches hearts and minds,

And I will repay each of you according to

Your deeds, he who has an ear let him

Hear what the spirit says to the churches.

Behold the son of man is coming soon,

He will put the sheep on His right and

The goats on His left, the sheep on the right,

Will take their inheritance in God’s kingdom,

Then He will say to the goats on the left,

“Depart from me into eternal fire prepared

For the devil and his angels ruling with him,

To him who overcomes, I will give the right

To sit with me on my throne, he who has an

Ear let him hear what the spirit says to the churches.

The cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers,

The sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts,

The idolaters, and all liars will have their place in the

Fiery lake of burning sulphur, this is the second death,

They will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous

To eternal life, he who has an ear let him hear what the

Spirit says to the churches; do not harden your heart today

He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death.
