WE ARE CLAY IN THE HANDS OF OUR MAKER

TEXT: JEREMIAH 18: 1-6

God created us in His own image without seeking for help or ideas from anybody. He knows what He wanted each of us to be from the inception of the earth. He has access to our destinies and the foundation of our lives. He can repair, restore, rebuild and remould us again and again.

At one stage in life, we might have been marred by the circumstance of this life, maybe you have changed what He moulded you to be while trying to fit into the society, God is ready to  re shape us any time there is a crack or a flaw in us. He is always ready to remould us to His desired shape.

God is sovereign; He has the power to do anything, He is the potter we are the clay. If we allow Him; He would form us into a useful vessel. “Yet o lord, you are our father we are the clay you are the potter; we are the work of your hand (Isaiah 64:8)

As clay; we are not suppose to have the will of our own, we are to yield to the will of the potter. “Woe to him who quarrel with his maker, to him who is a potsherd among the potsherd on the ground. Does the clay say to the potter what are you making? (Isaiah 45:9) For God to mould you; you must not struggle with Him.

Our God is still in the business of moulding and remoulding, He is a God of 2^nd, 3^rd, 4^th, ----- chance. “So I went to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel, but the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands, so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.” (Jeremiah 18:3-4) in anyway that the Devil, worldly pressure, ignorance and carelessness have changed your God desired shape for your life, like the clay in the potter’s hands, God can remould you to a shape that seems best to Him. All you need to do is to surrender to His will. You need to be soft, flexible and easy to work with, for God to be able to mould and remould you.

No potter will like to work with hard, dry and rigid clay,So also God does not delight in hard hearted, stubborn, and somebody that is not ready to submit to His will. The Almighty God is the living water; ask Him to saturate you with His living water so that in anywhere the pressure of this world has turned you to  dry and rigid clay; would be softened by the living water, so that you can be spiritually soft for Him to mould and reshape you.

GO YE INTO THE WORLD

He has given us the mandate,

Go ye into the world and preach the gospel,

The great commission he has given unto us,

Are you going to yield to this clarion call?

Or are you going to ignore it as if you never heard?

He does not delight in the death of sinners,

God hates sin but loves sinners,

He wants them to find redemption at all cost,

The host of heaven rejoices over

A single sinner that returns home.

The lord is passionate about lost souls,

They are part of the people He shed

His blood for on Calvary,

None should perish He’s saying,

Go therefore and preach the good news.

He said those that call upon

The name of the lord shall be saved,

But how can they call on the one

Whom they have not believed?

How can they believe in whom they have not heard?

How can they hear without a preacher?

And how can they preach unless they are sent?

The lord is sending you now saying

“Go ye into the world and preach the gospel”

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life and he who wins souls is wise.

HIS WORD IS YES AND AMEN

TEXT: 11 CORINTHIAN 1: 20

The Almighty God is a faithful God, when He says a thing it will come to pass. The scripture says “once you have spoken twice have I heard that power belongs to God (Psalm 62: 11). The lord is not a talkative, He does not talk to impress neither does He promise without fulfilling His promise. He is not a man that He should lie, in fact He does not have any cause to lie. He is an unlimited God, silver and gold belongs to Him, He owns the cattle on thousand hills. He is more than enough, if He decides to bless every creature on earth bountifully today; He cannot run out of resources, therefore His promises are sure.

Our God is compassionate that He does not turn His children down. Whenever you ask according to His will, His response is always yes child I will do it. For Him to grant your request, you have a part to play by saying Amen! Saying “Amen” in this context means asking in faith and believing in faith that you have received what you ask for. (Mark 11:24)

You need to use your faith to seal your request, God made us to know that without faith it is impossible to please Him. (Hebrew 11: 6)

God is never a liar, if you don’t ask amiss (James 4:3) and if you ask in faith, His word is yes and amen.

ON A COLD AND WINTRY NIGHT

I came to church one Sunday night,
A sinner, lost , undone,
I came to hear the Gospel preached,
To hear about God's son.

The one who can deliver
A sinful soul like me,
I wanted to know how to be saved,
How the lord could set me free.

I came to church on Sunday night,
But i found the door was closed!
They had cancelled the gospel meeting,
It was holiday time i suppose.

Others came and then turn away,
Disapointed at the sight,
The bars were open, the church was closed
On that cold and wintry night.

The Devil welcomed his patrons,
And i could imagine his glee
That the church was closed, the lights were out,
There was no welcome there for me!

I thought that this was the lord's day,
And not ours to do as we will,
Then why do men close up God's house,
While sinners are perishing still?

REDEEMING THE TIME OR KILLING THE TIME?

TEXT: EPHESIANS 5:15-16

The word of God advised us in Ephesians 5:15-16 that we should walk as wise and not as fools, redeeming the time because the days are evil.

People are fond of saying “I am just doing this or that to kill the time.” Doing anything to kill the time means a waste of time; you cannot achieve any meaningful result when you are killing the time. Your time is so important that you should not waste a second of it engaging in an unprofitable thing because a second wasted cannot be regained.

Every tick of the clock is taking away your God given years on earth. That is why we should engage our time wisely, because we don’t know when we will finish our race on earth. Time is an investment; if you invest it rightly, you will reap the reward, so also if you invest your time wrongly.

Redeeming the time shows that you are walking as wise and not as fools that are killing the time, in fact they are not killing the time but their potentials and their future!

Those that redeem their time engage their time in things that will bring out the potentials that God has deposited in their lives. They invest their time wisely so that no second or a minute is being wasted. The difference between time killers and time redeemers is that, time killers do not care about how their time is being spent, because their time is meaningless to them, so at the end of the day they have nothing to show for it. However with time redeemers, every minute counts! They engage their minds, hands, and thoughts in things that will sprout out the potentials in them. They take inventory of their daily achievements, because they understand that the way you spend your time, will determine your future.

There are so many ways these days that people are killing their time, these are: spending time talking on the phone, surfing the internet for things that add no value to their lives, spending hours watching Television and movies, sleeping for too long and things like that. By the time they finish all these; better part of the 24 hours has been spent on things that have not imparted their lives. Remember that some people spent their time to invent the phones, Televisions, games and other things that you are wasting your time on. Make use of your own time so that you can leaver a good legacy behind.

The seed of greatness in you cannot become a mighty tree if you don’t nurture it to grow. God the seed in you, but you need to water and nurture it for the seed to become visible for people to see.

If our time is not spent well, the seeds that God planted in us would remain seeds, but if you use your time wisely; the seed will become a mighty tree. It takes hard work and time consciousness for any seed of greatness to sprout up for the world to see.

Walk as wise and not as fools, redeem your time rather than killing your time. Time killers are killing their destinies, time redeemers are building their destinies. Use your time wisely; take stock of your daily achievement. Set goals on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Make strategies to achieve your goals, and strive to reach your goals.

EVERY VISION COMES TO NOTHING?

TEXT: EZEKIEL 12:21-23

The word of the lord came to me; son of man what is this proverb you have in the land of Israel; the days go by and every vision comes to nothing? Say to them, this is what the sovereign lord says; I am going to put an end to this proverb, and they will no longer quote it in Israel, say to them the days are near when every vision will be fulfilled (Ezekiel 12:21-23)

God is a faithful God; He does not promise what He will not do. If He is set to do a thing through you or for you, He will definitely bring it to pass.

You may encounter some delay, some set back that would make you to think that the vision will not come to pass anymore, but I assure you; if the vision is from God He will bring it to fulfilment.

Joseph had a vision given to him by God, but he did not have a smooth sailing journey to achieve that vision. His situation went from bad to worse before he accomplished the vision.

He was given a vision, but God did not tell him what he would pass through to get his vision fulfilled.

That vision that seems delayed or impossible will come to pass. Don’t throw away your vision, if you had done so already, go back and pick up your vision from the trash and keep running with it.( Habakkuk 2:2)  the vision is for an appointed time, the time is now! Don’t give up on your vision, has your vision been delayed for a long time? It is because God is making Provision for the vision, because He knows that without PROVISION there is no VISION. The time is now, to make plans to achieve your vision, because He has promised that none of His words will be delayed any longer, whatever He says will be fulfilled.( Ezekiel 12: 28) Rise up and fulfil your dream!

GOD’S SIGN LANGUAGE

TEXT: EZEKIEL 12:3-6

 Our God can send information or warning to us through any means. He can decide to use different methods of communication to talk to His children, He can use verbal and non verbal like objects. Events and symbol to pass His message across to us.

Most times, people wait for God to talk to them through the still small voice, prophets, dreams, or through the word. Having this mindset, makes us not to recognise when God is using an objects, or events that are happening around us to talk to us.

In our text, God decided to use Ezekiel to dramatise what will happen to the nation of Israel if they fail to turn away from their evil ways. Therefore son of man, pack your belongings for exile and in the daytime, as they watch. Set out and go from where you are to another place. Perhaps they will understand, though they are a rebellious house. (Ezekiel 12: 3-4)

It is very important to be sensitive spiritually; we should be ready to hear God speak to us through different means.  He can decide to pass message across through signs. He told us the signs we will be seeing during the end time. So also He can tell us different things through signs.

Be sensitive in your Spirit so that you will be able to understand His sign language.
